Long-running ticket-booking operations kept synchronous API requests waiting for approximately four minutes.
I re-architected the booking flow with AWS SQS and Lambda, moving long-running operations to asynchronous processing.
The synchronous API responded in approximately 260 milliseconds. The booking work continued asynchronously; this is not the end-to-end booking completion time.
